Today's Prompt Is Energy
The picture above was taken outside of the Dean Smith Center, the basketball stadium at UNC. On February 7, Dean Smith died. He was the basketball coach at UNC, the coach of the 1976 Olympics team and a great man. For more information about Dean Smith, click here. Anyways, this morning there were news vans with their satellites all in front of the stadium, most likely for a press conference or coverage later in the day. I came during a lull, when the equipment was set up and there were few people, but you could tell that something was about to happen. That sense of waiting and the amount of action around one place did well to define the idea of energy. Energy is defined as what is needed to do work, and there was plenty of that going on this morning.
